I'm so happy to introduce you to the third member of the design team today! I just adore Kerryn's scrapbooking style and was thrilled when she accepted the position on the team!
I am very lucky to have my own scrapbook space. It came out of necessity more than anything else after my scrap stash outgrew the space I was using, but I am definitely grateful to have a dedicated area.
My sewing machine gets a good workout with my scrapbook pages. I usually include machine stitching of some sort on most of my pages.
In 2011 I entered a competition organised by Scrapbooking Memories magazine called “Express Yourself”. Twenty layouts were chosen to be displayed at the Brisbane Papercrafts convention and attendees voted for their favourite. I was amazed to find out my layout had received the most votes and was chosen as the winning layout. To this day it gives me a real buzz thinking about it. I think what makes it even more special is that my fellow scrapbookers were the people voting.
I have had a lot of favourite layouts and projects over the years but I think my absolute favourite, the one that gives me the greatest sense of satisfaction and pride, is a Christmas wreath I made in 2009. I had seen something similar on a website that had been created for Halloween and with Christmas fast approaching I pulled out my hot glue gun and Christmas papers and crossed my fingers that it would work. It was a labour of love but when it was finished I was thrilled. Each year when I hang it up in our front hallway it gives me that same sense of pride that I got when I first finished it.
There are so many fabulous products in store that it is hard to pick just one favourite. I do love the super sweet petite paper doilies though.
Welcome Kerryn! I can't wait to see what you do with Greatest View embellishments!
