I'm thrilled to introduce our next guest designer to you all today, Laura Vegas! I've been reading Laura's blog for what seems like forever as I've always been a fan of her clean lines, attention to detail and fabulous photos! I asked Laura a few questions so we could get to know her style a bit better.
1. When and where do you mostly scrapbook?
I have a downstairs bedroom that is my dedicated scrap space. I do most of my scrapbooking in there. However, since I work at home doing daycare, I do occasionally bring projects out into the kitchen or playroom to work on during the kids naptimes. I try and do little bits and pieces of projects when I have free moments during the day, when I can. But the bulk of my creating is done in the evenings, or on the weekends.
2. List 3 of your go-to products or techniques when scrapbooking.
I can't choose just 3 between products and techniques, so how about both? My top 3 go-to products are pattern paper, buttons, and punches. My top 3 go-to techniques are distressing/roughing up the edges of my papers and stickers, die cutting with my Silhouette, and machine stitching.
3. What do you love most about scrapbooking?
I have been scrapbooking for over 17 years, and I just love that we have so many memories, moments, events, and everyday happenings documented in scrapbook albums. I know how easy it is to forget things that have happened, so I think it's so important to get those memories down to look back on. For me, the creative release is the other big reason I love to scrapbook. With my daycare job, and even life in general, it often feels like I'm doing the same mundane tasks day in and day out, over and over, and feeling like I never really accomplish anything. I love that I can get creative with paper and embellishments, and have a finished project to show for it.
5. Lastly, what is your favourite Greatest View product?
I have to say the badges. I love fun embellishments to add to my layouts and cards, and small round embellishments are definately a favorite of mine. I love the fun designs and colors, and the little touch of dimension they can add to your projects.

I'm so excited to reveal Laura's first layout:
I love the flower embellishments Laura has created by layering a petite doily and badge on top of a flower! The petite doilies are the perfect size for the badges!
And that chevron ribbon . . . I love how Laura has simply layered the two colours and attached with a few staples.
I think what I love most about this layout is the repetition of the colours in the badges, ribbon, mist, patterned paper border, buttons and the chevron bags that Laura has opened up and used under her photos.
Be sure to visit the blog later this week as I have more projects from Laura to share! AND I think it's time for a little giveaway too . . .
