Have you ever been working on a layout and couldn't find the perfect embellishment to match the colour scheme of your papers and photos? Sometimes you have every other shade than the one you are after and it can get quite frustrating because you know what you want but just don't have it! That's why Gail works incredibly hard to be on top of the latest colour trends making sure that she has everything covered!
I took this series of photos last week when my little man was ravaging his big brother's ducky and when I printed them out I realised that they'd be a great match to a new Teresa Collins collection I'd bought. So when it came time to embellish I was not surprised to find that Gail's badges and chevron ribbon/bags tied in beautifully!
I gave one of the petite paper doilies a little make-over, not because the white didn't suit but because I was busting to try some new pastels I'd bought. The doily became my test subject and it worked out beautifully... I was quite excited with the new grey look! So don't be afraid to mix things up a little bit and add your own personal touch to the doilies by using either pastels, paint or sprays.
