The wait is finally over... it's day four and the final day of the new release countdown and all the latest products will be on sale this evening.
I had such a hard time deciding which of the new flair badges I was going to showcase, so in the end I decided to go a little mad and do a layout that allowed the use of several badges and some fun new sequins. Can you spot them?
Gail has created wonderful new designs in a wide variety of hues so you won't have trouble matching them to your projects and each of the feather badges has different text so you can incorporate more than one onto your creation.
Sequins are such a big trend right now and I am a little embarrassed to say that I've never used them until now. Well now I know what I've been missing... these little tiny circles of glamour add such a unique and fun twist to projects, and I can't get enough of the clear ones!
Don't forget to set your alarms as the sale starts tonight, here on the blog at 7pm AEST!
I have another couple of new products to share with you today!
I've been seeing feathers pop up here and there as an emerging trend so I couldn't help but design some gorgeous peacock feather badges.
These feather badges were just the inspiration I needed to create this layout incorporating some peacock feathers that my four-year-old coloured and cut out herself! I tucked her artwork into a large glassine bag.
And one more sneak peek . . . to add to our twine family (you can never have enough twine right?) is this one used below with a delicate metallic gold thread through it.
And it will be available in silver also!
Thanks for popping by today and remember, all the new items we are showing you during the countdown will be available right here on the blog from Monday night, 7pm AEST!
Wecome to the first day of the countdown to the NEW PRODUCT release! Over the next few days, we'll give you a closer look at some of the new items!
With my recent fill of sports on television, thanks to the Olympics being broadcast, I have been inspired to pull out some of the photos taken at my children’s School sports carnival. I wanted to focus in on the colours of the team and accent it with some funky accessories! What better way than to use the brand new triangle badges from Greatest View!
I just love how the badges create a focal point without being overwhelming. Team them up with sequins, another new product from the shop, and there is instant appeal and drama.
And we are never short on drama in our house. Especially when it comes to Sport’s Day. I have added some hidden journaling on my layout to remember bits and pieces of our day. Included are the details revolving around Ethan’s first carnival and how he lost his shoe in the middle of his very first race! LOL!
My journaling is easily accessed by stapling a small piece of chevron ribbon directly to the journaling card. This is definitely a tried and true method of mine.
So, what has inspired you with your scrapbooking lately? I am just glad the Olympics inspired me to scrap and not run a marathon! LOL!
Thanks for visiting..x
All the new items will be available from 7pm Monday 27th August (AEST) right here on the blog!
Hi Everyone! I just want to share with you all, how much I LOVE the next new and exciting release from Greatest View! So much so, I decided to use a little bit of everything on my baby’s (he’s almost three!) birthday layout! LOL!! Everything that is, except the gorgeous new moustache badges... but trust me when I say, I was willing to put them on my layout too! I shall just have to keep them in reserve for my next project!
The birthday boy badges were ideal for highlighting the theme for my youngest son’s 2nd birthday. However, I wanted to focus on the journaling for this layout, which is more about where we were when he turned two, than the fact that he actually had a birthday. These badges just reinforced the message that it was still a special day.
I also love the new countdown badges! But instead of using them as Gail did on her layout, I used the number “2” for obvious reasons.
As a little side adventure, I also layered the badges on top of some punched scraps of co-ordinating paper. I used foam tape to add some depth and to make the badges a feature. The lime green chevron ribbon has been folded over, stapled together and tucked beneath the badge.
Now don’t forget to come back tomorrow when the sale starts, for your chance to purchase some of the fabulous new badges and (swoon!!) that gorgeous ribbon!!!
I enjoy baking and most years for the kids birthdays they will put in their cake request and I do my best to accomodate them. When my son turned five he was obsessed with all things Ben 10 so when I suggested an Omnitrix birthday cake he was one very happy boy.
You can imagine my delight when I saw the new birthday themed badges that have been created for the June release. I particularly loved the Birthday Boy badge with it’s bright colours and it set the tone for the colour palette used on my page.
I have to admit to letting out a little squeal when I saw the chevron ribbon. Although I do have a funny story to tell about when I actually used it for the first time. I could have sworn that the ribbon was wider at one end than the other. I even went so far as to measure it just to make sure LOL. I realised in the end of course that it was just an optical illusion!!
Thanks for visiting today! Come back tomorrow for our final countdown post before the release day!
