The story |I have been recording my families activities each week using the Project Life format.
How you communicated the story |Each day I took photos of each member of my family doing various things I want to remember, I also take simple notes each night so I wont forget. I then print out my photos and arrange them in chronological order across the double page spread and add in my typed journaling.
Photos |Canon 1000D and my iphone
Techniques or tips to share |I like to spread out my photos on top of the pockets and then pull out certain colours that are dominant across the spread I then choose papers and embellishments to match.
Hello again and welcome to day 5! Are you inspired by all the creativness our design team have shared so far? Today is no exception as Kim shared her newest passion for Project Life and how our badges and tags are perfect for it!
As in previous days, there are details at the bottom of the post on a giveaway as well as the free journaling tag download to coordinate with two of our newest badge sets!
The Story | This year I was excited to start project life for the first time. My scrapbooking has always been about the little everyday moments shared by my family so I thought PL would be perfect for me! This week that I have recorded was a fun one for me. Exciting times being a part of the Heidi Swapp DT, watching the excitment of my boys playing with their little friends, having a nervous few hours in the ER with my son, amongst other everyday things that in the future I do not want forgotten.
How I communicated the story | Having my iphone handy everywhere I go was perfect for capturing the good and the bad moments. When I am putting my project life spreads together, its important to document by quick journalling the memory behind each photo. I also like to TRY to have the week's photos move from left to right across the page where ever possible!
Photos | As I said previously most of my photos are iphone photos that I have edited in instagram, however when I am at home I do like to use my DSLR camera.
Techniques or tips to share | I have a small diary at home that I quickly right some notes in when I sit down to relax of a night, just so my memory is completely correct.
Even though PL is mostly about capturing the everyday life of my family, there is room for capturing more personal journaling in hidden journalling pockets!

I know that we don't really celebrate Halloween here is Australia, but it is a good excuse to dress up and more and more parties are popping up each year! It was the perfect time to scrap this photo of my youngest on his first Halloween, in his first costume!
And the perfect layout to showcase the new Halloween speech bubble badges, now in the store!
The Say What speech bubble badges are fast becoming my favourites! I've used them so much that I've just ordered another pack! The sayings are so versatile, suiting a variety of themes but as a Mum to two boys, I find them very useful indeed when scrapbooking photos of my boys at play!
And the bright colours are divine too!
Rumour has it that Gail is creating another set with new colours and saying! Can't wait!
